Winner of the 2002 Audiophile of the Year award from Sound Stage
Magazine, Shadows was recorded live in front of an audience of 200
in November of 2001 in Montreal Canada. The album is an intense exploration
of human emotions that caused Irwin Block of the Montreal Gazette
to conclude that "Loescher is of the
intimate school playing as if he were speaking from the deeper reaches
of his psyche." Produced
by Shawn Loescher and Renee LaFlemme the album is a blend between
the classic jazz, modern improvised music and twentieth century composition
that crosses stylistic and age boundaries. |
